Artūras Vazbys

Artūras Vazbys (born September 7, 1971 in Jonava ) is a Lithuanian politician and diplomat .

Life

After graduating from the Kristijonas Donelaitis Middle School in Klaipėda in 1989 , he completed a bachelor's degree in psychology in 1994 and a master's degree in organizational psychology at the Vilniaus universitetas Philosophy Faculty in 1997 . From 1994 to 1996 he was a correspondent for the weekly “Apžvalga” and from 1995 to 1996 for the radio station “Free Europe”. From 1996 to 1997 he was press representative of Krikščiony's demokratai group in the Seimas , from 1997 to 2000 ministerial advisor and from 2000 senior specialist at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania . From 2000 to 2004 he was a member of the Seimas. He then worked as a diplomat, ministerial advisor in the Lithuanian embassy in the USA.

From 2000 he was a member of the Moderniųjų krikščionių Demokratieų sąjunga , from 2003 the Liberalų ir centro sąjunga and then the Tėvynės Sąjunga .

He is married. He and his wife Liana have a daughter, Nora.
