Artanes
Artanes , son of Hystaspes , was a member of the Persian Achaemenid dynasty in the 6th century BC.
He was a younger brother of the Great King Darius I , to whom he gave his only child, Phratagyne, and all of his possessions in marriage. His grandchildren, Abrokomas and Hyperanthes , fell in 480 BC. In the battle of Thermopylae .
