Arthur C. Lundahl

Arthur Charles "Art" Lundahl (born April 1, 1915 in Chicago , Illinois , † June 22, 1992 in Bethesda (Maryland) ) was an American intelligence service.

After World War II, Lundahl was the guide of the National Photographic Interpretation Center of the US foreign intelligence agency, the Central Intelligence Agency, and from May 1953 to July 1973 its first director.

As an expert in aerial photography, he discovered rocket launch systems in Cuba in 1962 , which led to the Cuban Missile Crisis . Lundahl was part of the ExComm during the Cuban Missile Crisis .
