Arthur Corbin Gould (born May 20, 1850 in Boston , † November 22, 1903 ) was an American marksman, gun expert and author. He founded the magazine The Rifle in 1885 and was its editor. The magazine was the forerunner of The Rifleman magazine of the National Rifle Association (NRA), now American Rifleman .

Gould was a member of the Massachusetts Rifle Association . Gould wrote the books The Modern American Pistol and Revolver and Modern American Rifles . Arthur Corbin Gould was extensively interested in the technology, function and shooting results of the weapons.
