Belan-sur-Ource is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Autricourt in the north and north-west, Riel-les-Eaux in the north and north-east, Thoires in the east, Brion-sur-Ource in the south and south-east, Mosson in the south and Chaumont-le-Bois in the West and southwest.
