Aignay-le-Duc is surrounded by Leuglay in the north, Saint-Broing-les-Moines in the east, Étalante in the south and Quemigny-sur-Seine in the west and is located about 30 kilometers southwest of Montbard . The municipality is located on the Coquille River , which rises northeast of the neighboring municipality of Étalante.
