geography
Recey-sur-Ource is located around 50 kilometers north of Dijon on the upper reaches of the River Ource , into which the Arce and Groème rivers flow into the municipality from the left . Neighboring municipalities are Faverolles-lès-Lucey in the north, Chambain in the northeast, Menesble in the east, Bure-les-Templiers in the southeast, Terrefondrée in the south, Montmoyen in the southwest, Essarois in the west and Leuglay in the northwest.
