Avosnes is a French commune with a population of 89 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Côte-d'Or in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the arrondissement of Montbard and the canton of Semur-en-Auxois .

In addition to the main settlement, Avosnes also includes the hamlets of Barain, Pataud, Quartier du Vau and Les Grands Chaumets.
