Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton Semur-en-Auxois included the 29 municipalities of Bard-lès-Époisses , Charigny , Chassey , Corrombles , Corsaint , Courcelles-Frémoy , Courcelles-lès-Semur , Époisses , Flée , Forléans , Genay , Jeux-lès-Bard , Juilly , Lantilly , Magny-la-Ville , Massingy-lès-Semur , Millery , Montberthault , Montigny-sur-Armançon , Pont-et-Massène , Saint-Euphrône , Semur-en-Auxois , Souhey , Torcy-et-Pouligny , Toutry , Vic-de-Chassenay , Vieux-Château , Villars-et-Villenotte and Villeneuve-sous-Charigny . Its layout corresponded to an area of 292.65 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 2133.
