Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Auxonne included the 16 communes Athée , Auxonne , Billey , Champdôtre , Flagey-lès-Auxonne , Flammerans , Labergement-lès-Auxonne , Les Maillys , Magny-Montarlot , Poncey-lès- Athée , Pont , Soirans , Tillenay , Tréclun , Villers-les-Pots and Villers-Rotin . Its layout corresponded to an area of 170.20 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 2103.
