Heuilley-sur-Saone is a French commune in the Côte-d'Or department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté .

The population curve had its peak in 1840 with 900 inhabitants, currently the municipality has 333 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). For eight centuries the commune was on the border (the Saône River ) between the Kingdom of France and the Holy Roman Empire . Later, from 1678 to 1789, the borders of three provinces met here: the Duchy of Burgundy , Franche-Comté and Champagne .
