Saint-Léger-Triey is located about 28 kilometers east-northeast of Dijon . The Bèze delimits the municipality in the northeast. Saint-Léger-Triey is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Marandeuil in the north and north-west, Drambon in the north and north-east, Pontailler-sur-Saône in the east, Lamarche-sur-Saône in the south, Cirey-lès-Pontailler in the south-west and Étevaux in the west .
