geography
Échannay is located about 29 kilometers west of Dijon . The municipality is surrounded by Vieilmoulin in the north, Sombernon in the north and north-east, Remilly-en-Montagne in the east, Grenant-lès-Sombernon in the east and south-east, La Bussière-sur-Ouche in the south, Montoillot in the west and south-west and Aubigny- lès-Sombernon in the northwest.
