Przylesie Dolne (German Seiffersdorf b. Grottkau , 1931-1945: Niederseiffersdorf , also Nieder-Seiffersdorf ) is a village in the municipality of Grodków (Grottkau) in the Opole Voivodeship in Poland .

Geographical location

The anger village Przylesie Dolne is located in the west of the historical region of Upper Silesia in the Grottkauer Land. Przylesie Dolne Six kilometers northeast of the parish seat Grodków , about 16 kilometers south of the county seat Brzeg ( Brieg ) and about 35 kilometers west of the voivodship Opole.

Przylesie Dolne lies in the Nizina Śląska ( Silesian Plain ) within the Równina Grodkowska ( Grottkau Plain ). The A4 motorway runs north of the village . The Nysa – Brzeg railway runs south-east .

history

St. Peter and Paul Church

Seiffersdorf was first mentioned in 1303-04 in the Registrum Wratislaviense as "villa Syffridi". It initially belonged to the Duchy of Breslau and after its division in 1311 to the Duchy of Brieg . In 1343 “Syffridi villa” was acquired by the city of Grottkau, with whom it came a year later to the episcopal principality of Neisse ( diocese ), which had been a fiefdom of the crown of Bohemia since 1342 . In 1368 the village is mentioned as Siffridsdorf . Eight hooves and five gardeners are documented for the year 1405 . In taxes, only the bishop was four dung collected. The Vorwerk belonged to de Kaspar Bischofsheim in 1579.

After the First Silesian War in 1742, Seiffersdorf and most of the Principality of Neisse fell to Prussia . In 1763 a school was built.

After the reorganization of the province of Silesia , the rural community Seiffersdorf belonged to the district of Grottkau in the administrative district of Opole from 1816 . In 1845 there was a Catholic church, a Catholic school, a farm and 81 other houses in the village. In the same year, 434 people lived in Seiffersdorf, 10 of them Protestants. In 1855 635 people lived in Osseg. In 1865 there were 15 farmers, 20 gardeners and 21 cottagers in the village . The one-class Catholic school was attended by 78 students in the same year. Since 1874 it has belonged to the district of Osseg, which is made up of the rural communities Deutsch Leippe, Osseg and Seiffersdorf b. Grottkau and the manor districts Deutsch Leippe (Lehn), Deutsch Leippe (Allodium), Osseg and Seiffersdorf b. Grottkau existed. In 1885 Seiffersdorf had 374 inhabitants.

On September 23, 1931, the Seiffersdorf rural community was renamed Niederseiffersdorf . In 1933 there were 512 inhabitants in Seiffersdorf, in 1939 there were 446. Until the end of the war in 1945, the place belonged to the district of Grottkau .

As a result of the Second World War, Seiffersdorf fell under Polish administration in 1945, like most of Silesia . The place was then renamed Przylesie Dolne and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. The German population was largely expelled . In 1950 Przylesie Dolne was incorporated into the Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the newly founded Powiat Brzeski ( Brieg district ) came about .

Attractions

  • The St. Peter and Paul Church (Polish: Kościół św. Piotra i Pawła ) was built in the second half of the 16th century. The building was modified in 1713 and at the beginning of the 20th century. The church is surrounded by a stone wall. The church building has been a listed building since 1964.
