history

St. Martin Church

The Angerdorf Zindel was first mentioned in 1136 after a wooden church was built in the village. This burned down in the 15th century and was replaced by a stone church that still exists today.

After the First Silesian War in 1742, Zindel and most of the Principality of Neisse fell to Prussia . After the reorganization of the province of Silesia , the rural community of Zindel belonged to the district of Brieg in the administrative district of Breslau from 1816 . In 1845 the village consisted of 106 houses, a Protestant church and a Protestant church. In the same year 530 people lived in Zindel, 16 of them Catholic. In 1874 the district of Zindel was founded. The first head of office was Schulz Raabe. In 1885 Zindel had 641 inhabitants.

In 1933 536 people lived in Zindel, in 1939 553 people. Until the end of the war in 1945, the place belonged to the district of Brieg .

As a result of the Second World War, Zindel, like most of Silesia, came under Polish administration in 1945 . Subsequently, the place was renamed Młodoszowice and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. After the German villagers were expelled, the village was largely populated by people from Ternopil ( Tarnopol ) and Volhynia . 1950 Młodoszowice was incorporated into the Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place came to the newly founded Powiat Brzeski ( Brieg district ).

Attractions

  • The current construction of the Roman Catholic Church of St. Martin (Polish Kościół św. Marcina Biskupa ) dates from the 15th century. A church in Zindel was previously mentioned in 1136 and 1318. Conversions within the church are documented for the years 1591 and 1655. In 1936 the church was restored and wall paintings from the 16th century were discovered. In 1990 the nave roof, which had been lowered in 1809, was raised again. The Gothic church has a two-bay choir with a ribbed vault. On the west side is a square bell tower, which was probably built around 1526. Inside the church has a late Gothic three-wing carved altar, which was made in 1495. From 1534 to 1945 it was a Protestant church. The church has been Catholic since 1945. The church building has been a listed building since 1966.
  • The village cemetery was laid out in the 15th century.
