The municipality is surrounded by Saint-Victor-sur-Ouche in the north and northwest, Gergueil in the northeast, Ternant in the east, Détain-et-Bruant in the southeast, Antheuil in the south and La Bussière-sur-Ouche in the west.

history

In 1942 the Wehrmacht had a Würzburg radar (Wassermann type) installed in the so-called Dachshund camp, which was destroyed in 1944.
