Flammerans is about 33 kilometers southeast of Dijon . The Saône limits the municipality to the west. Flammerans is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vielverge in the north, Soissons-sur-Nacey in the north and northeast, Pointre in the east, Peintre in the southeast, Auxonne in the south, Poncey-lès-Athée in the west and Lamarche-sur-Saône in the northwest.
