The canton Dijon-1 is a French canton in the Arrondissement Dijon , in Côte-d'Or department and in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; its main town is Dijon , Ludovic Rochette has been a representative in the general council of the department since 2001 (re-elected in 2008).

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Dijon-1 included the nine municipalities of Bretigny , Brognon , Clénay , Dijon , Orgeux , Ruffey-lès-Echirey , Saint-Apollinaire , Saint-Julien and Varois-et-Chaignot . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 2109.
