Georg Achtelstetter

Georg Achtelstetter (born May 5, 1883 in Augsburg , † March 13, 1973 in Cham ) was a German painter and writer .

Life

Achtelstetter lived in Nuremberg for 20 years . Since 1947 his adopted home was the Upper Palatinate district town of Cham . This is where his motifs come from, which became known far beyond the Bavarian Forest .

In addition, he was involved in various Cham associations.

Among the watercolors, oil paintings and large-format murals are best known:

  • Motive of St. Jakob at the parish church St. Jakob zu Cham
  • Motif of the Pandur rider for the festival "Trenck der Pandur" in Waldmünchen
  • Various landscapes over the current district of Cham

Achtelstetter was involved in the Great German Art Exhibition in the House of German Art in Munich in 1938 .
