Torcy-et-Pouligny is a French municipality with 204 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Côte-d'Or in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016: Burgundy ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Montbard and the canton of Semur-en-Auxois .

Torcy-et-Pouligny is about eight kilometers west of Semur-en-Auxois in its catchment area ( Aire urbaine ) in the Auxois natural region .

Torcy-et-Pouligny is located in the catchment area of the river Seine . The Ruisseau de la Loueme, a tributary of the Armançon , crosses the territory of the municipality together with its tributaries, the Ruisseau des Iles, the Ruisseau de la Pree and the Ruisseau de Pre Prunelle.

Population development

After records began, the population rose to a peak of around 440 by the middle of the 19th century. In the following period, the size of the community fell to around 161 inhabitants by the 1970s, before a phase of slight growth began that continues to this day persists.

Parish Church of Saint-Didier

It has been registered as a Monument historique since November 10, 1925 .

a stool for the lead singer, probably from the 17th century,

the main altar from the middle of the 18th century,
