Nicey is a French municipality with 110 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Côte-d'Or department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Montbard and the canton of Châtillon-sur-Seine (until 2015: canton of Laignes ). The inhabitants are called Nicetois .

Nicey is located about 81 kilometers northwest of Dijon and about 56 kilometers east of Auxerre . Nicey is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Channay in the north, Griselles in the east, Laignes in the southeast, Gigny in the south and Cruzy-le-Châtel in the west.
