Jailly-les-Moulins is a French commune with a population of 82 (as at 1st January 2017) in the Côte-d'Or department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Burgundy ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Montbard and the Pays d'Alésia et de la Seine municipal association founded in 2004 .

geography

Jailly-les-Moulins lies in the east of the Auxois region , about 45 kilometers northwest of Dijon on the Ozerain River . The 9.29 km² municipal area extends on both sides of the Ozerain valley. The eponymous village is 300 m above sea level; to the east and west the terrain rises gradually and on the plateaus reaches heights of over 450 m above sea level. The hill Les Montots immediately west of the village marks the highest point in the municipality at 499 m. The steeper slopes are forested and the course of the Ozerain river is lined with remains of alluvial forest. Arable land predominates on the high plateaus. Jailly-les-Moulins is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Hauteroche in the north, Boux-sous-Salmaise in the east, Villeberny in the south, Dampierre-en-Montagne in the southwest and La Roche-Vanneau in the west.
