Bertrand Lavier
Bertrand Lavier (born June 14, 1949 in Châtillon-sur-Seine ) is a French sculptor and installation artist .
life and work
Bertrand Lavier studied horticultural engineering at the École nationale supérieure d'horticulture between 1968 and 1972 and is a self-taught artist . He is married to Gloria Friedmann . The couple live and work in Aignay-le-Duc and Paris .
Some of his works are in the tradition of the objet trouvé . Furthermore, Bertrand Lavier has been painting over surfaces since 1975 and industrially manufactured objects since 1981. For example, he created an oversized tennis court on the Entenanger t in Kassel for documenta 8 .
