Arthur Gabriel

Arthur Gabriel (born April 21, 1865 in Militsch , Province of Silesia , † November 19, 1924 in Gotha ) was a German gynecologist and medical officer.

Life

Gabriel originally wanted to become a professional soldier , but had to give up his military career for health reasons. He then studied medicine at the University of Wroclaw . During this time he became a member of the Corps Silesia Breslau . After the medical state examination, he was awarded a Dr. med. PhD. He studied two more semesters at the Sorbonne before going on trips as a ship's doctor . After returning to Germany, he settled in Gotha as a gynecologist in 1894 . During the First World War he was a naval chief officer and a doctor at the front in France, Russia and Serbia.
