Arthur Gerick

Arthur Gerick (also Gerigk ) (born August 25, 1888 in Sopot , † November 24, 1967 in Neuenhaus -Grasdorf) was a member of the state parliament in the Free City of Danzig ( SPD Danzig ).

Arthur Gerick learned the trade of a saddler after elementary school . Gerick, who had left the church, married in 1918. He lived as an employee in Gdansk.

He joined the SPD and was elected to the state parliament for his party in the election for the constituent assembly in Danzig in 1920. He remained a member of the People's Parliament for four electoral terms until 1930 .

After fleeing from Danzig, he initially lived in Halle ad Saale . In 1950 he fled the Soviet Zone, first in Berlin-Lichtenberg , then to Neuenhaus. From 1951 he lived in Wermelskirchen and from 1967 again in Neuenhaus-Grasdorf. He worked as an employee.
