Arthur Gregg Sulzberger

Arthur Greg "AG" Sulzberger (born August 5, 1980 in Washington, DC ) is an American journalist and since January 1, 2018 editor of the New York Times .

Sulzberger is the son of Gail Gregg and Arthur Ochs Sulzberger Jr. , who is the Chairman of the New York Times Company and his predecessor as the newspaper's editor. Members of the Sulzberger / Ochs family have held this position since 1896.

Sulzberger began his journalistic career in 2004 as an intern at the Providence Journal . In 2006 he moved to the Oregonian in Portland . He has been writing for the New York Times since February 2009. He became its assistant editor in October 2016 and its editor in January 2018.
