Arthur Lisowsky

Arthur Lisowsky (* 1895 in Posen ; † June 23, 1952 in St. Gallen ) was a professor at the St. Gallen Commercial College . He was a representative of marketing, especially market research and advertising.

Life

Lisowsky studied modern languages in Magdeburg . After the First World War he turned to economics at the University of Leipzig . There he became a qualified businessman and trade teacher. In 1924 he received his doctorate and a year later he became an assistant at the seminar for commercial management and advertising at the Leipzig University of Commerce. His habilitation took place in 1927 under the topic of quality and operation . In 1931 he followed the call of the St. Gallen University of Commerce to the chair for merchandise management, marketing and advertising as the successor to Prof. Brogle.
