Arthur White

Arthur Friedrich Hermann Weisse (* January 25, 1861 , † December 25, 1936 ) was a German botanist who researched the theory of leaf position. Its botanical author's abbreviation is " A.Weisse ".

He grew up with his two siblings on their father's estate in Schönberg (now Bendzmirowitz) in the Konitz district in West Prussia. When he passed the certificate of maturity at the grammar school in Elbing at Easter 1882 , his father (administrator Weisse in Bärenwalde, district of Schlochau ) had died. He became a private scholar.
