Live and act
Weiner came from a Jewish bourgeois family from Chemnitz. After attending school, he studied law . 1904 doctorate he attended the University of Leipzig to Dr. jur. From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War. After the war he lived as a lawyer and notary in Chemnitz. In the 1920s he became deputy chairman of the Jewish community in Chemnitz. He also sat on the supervisory boards of many large companies such as the "Gebrüder Becker" company.
On April 10, 1933, Weiner was arrested by members of the SA in his apartment and taken to a field outside of Chemnitz. There he was first abused and then beaten to death or shot. An investigation into the murder after World War II was discontinued in the summer of 1960 by the public prosecutor for the Karl-Marx-Stadt district .
Today, among other things, a stumbling stone in front of Stollberger Straße 41 in Chemnitz reminds of Weiner's life and murder.
