The Arthurson Bluff a mainly ice-covered headland near the Pennell Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It overlooks the place where the Ludvig and Kirkby glaciers meet .
In 1962, participants on a research trip as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions under the direction of polar explorer Phillip Law landed here in a helicopter . It is named after John Arthurson (1909–2006), pilot of this helicopter.
