Artyom Loskutow (born September 15, 1986 in Novosibirsk ) is a Russian conceptual artist and inventor of the Monstration , a May Day event originally held in Novosibirsk and now in several dozen cities in Russia with absurd slogans. He lives in Moscow . In addition to the Monstration, Loskutow is the organizer of the Kinovar cinema festival in Moscow.

biography

Loskutov was born in Siberia and studied at the Novosibirsk State Technical University (NGTU) . In 2004 he organized the first monstration with a few dozen like-minded people , when a group with absurd posters joined the official May Day parade of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in Novosibirsk. Until 2008, the Monstation took place as part of the May demonstration. From 2009 it took place as a separate event with a move. In the same year Loskutov was first employees of the state anti-extremism Center E arrested. The search found 11 grams of marijuana ; Loskutov's fingerprints could not be found on the plastic bag, nor was it tested positive for cannabis. Loskutov was released on June 10, after numerous actions that demanded his release. In 2010, the first approved monstration took place in Novosibirsk.
