Arvo Närvänen
Arvo "Ati" Närvänen (born February 12, 1905 in Viipuri , † April 4, 1982 in Helsinki ) was a Finnish football and bandy player .
Närvänen played for the club Viipurin Sudet . With the club's bandy team, he was eight times Finnish champion. For the national team , he completed 14 internationals.
He made his football debut at the age of 19 in the national team and played 41 times in the national jersey until 1933. In 1936 he was reassigned to the team for the Olympic Games in Berlin . Finland were eliminated with Närvänen after a 3: 7 against Peru after one game. His only goal for the national team he scored in September 1929 in a friendly against Latvia (3-1 for Finland).
His younger brother Ville Närvänen also played for Sudet on the football team.
