Finnish men's national bandy team
The Finnish national bandy team presents Finland at international games in a bandy . Finland has taken part in all Bandy World Championships so far, has always been in the top four and is considered the best team in the world after Russia and Sweden . The team's greatest success so far is the 2004 World Cup. The bandy sport in Finland is organized by the Finnish Bandy Association, Suomen Jääpalloliitto (SJPL, Swedish: Finlands Bandyförbund, FBYF ).
The coach of the Finnish selection has been Tommy Österberg since 2009 (as of 2013).
Finland at world championships
Finland is considered an all-time third in the Bandy World Championships. This is because Finland has won bronze medals 20 times since 1957, but only eight silver medals (as of 2017). The only gold medal for the Finnish team so far was in 2004, when they defeated Sweden 5-4.
