1981 World Bandy Championship

The 12th Bandy World Cup was on 7. February bis 15. February 1981 in the Soviet Khabarovsk discharged. For the first time, the Soviet Union did not win the World Cup. Thanks to the Swedes 6-1 victory over the Soviet Union on matchday one, after a 3-1 defeat in the second leg in a direct comparison, they were ahead of the record world champions with equal points.

A round trip was played, so each team met twice and had to play a total of six games.
