1983 World Bandy Championship
The 13 Bandy World Cup was on 15. February bis 20th February 1983 in Finland held. For the first time a final was held between the first two of the main round. Sweden managed to defend their title with a 9: 3 over the Soviet Union in the final. Bronze went to the hosts Finland.
A simple round was played in which each team had to play three games. The group first and second qualified for the final. The other two teams compete against each other in the game for third place.

The venues were the two southern Finnish cities of Porvoo and Helsinki .
