World Bandy Championship 1987

The 15th Bandy World Championship was held in Sweden from January 31 to February 8, 1987 . Sweden achieved their third triumph at a world championship. In the final, the hosts beat Finland 7-2. Defending champion Soviet Union won only bronze and thus achieved the worst placement at a world championship so far.

The five teams played against each other once in the main round. The main round first and second qualified for the final. The third and fourth met again in the game for third place.

Venues

It was played in several cities: Vänersborg , Gothenburg , Lidköping , Skövde , Kungälv , Trollhättan , Örebro , Motala , Köping and Katrineholm were the venues for the World Cup. The two placement games were played in Stockholm.
