1967 World Bandy Championship

The 5th World Bandy Championship was held from February 14th to February 19th, 1967 in Finland . The decision was tight: Sweden, the Soviet Union and Finland had the same number of points, in the end the better goal difference was decisive for the record world champions from the Soviet Union.

It was the second World Cup after 1957 that was held in Finland, making Finland the first country to host the World Cup in Bandy twice.

The world championship was played in a group system. The six matches were spread over three game days.

Venues

The game was played in the five cities of Lappeenranta , Mikkeli , Oulu , Varkaus and Helsinki , where the opening and closing match took place.
