World Bandy Championship 1969

The 6th World Bandy Championship was held in Sweden from February 8 to February 16, 1969 . The Soviet Union became undefeated world champions.

After 1963 , Sweden held the World Cup for the second time.

The Norwegian team did not take part in the tournament due to the crackdown on Prague Spring by the Soviet troops. Norway decided not to take part in the World Cup as early as 1957 after the Soviet Union put down the Hungarian uprising .

The world championship was played in a group system. In order to get six games despite the absence of Norway, a round trip was played. So each team met twice.

Venues

Each game took place in a different location. The other venues were Vänersborg , Lidköping , Nässjö , Örebro , Katrineholm and Uppsala .
