The 17th Bandy World Cup was the 17th March bis 24. March 1991 in Finland held. The Soviet Union beat Sweden 4-3 in the final. With Canada, Hungary and the Netherlands, three teams made their World Cup debuts.
Game mode
The eight teams were classified according to their strength in an A and a B group. The first three of the A group automatically qualified for the semi-finals. The fourth in group A had to play a game against the first in group B, the winner of which would also qualify for the semi-finals.
Venues
The game was played in Porvoo and the capital Helsinki . In addition to some main round games, the final and the game for third place were played in Helsinki.
