World Bandy Championship 1985

The 14 Bandy World Cup was the 3. February bis 10. February 1985 in Norway held. The Soviet Union won the final 5: 4 after extra time against defending champions Sweden and secured their twelfth title win. For the first time the USA took part in the tournament. However, the North Americans could not get any points and were beaten last with a goal difference of 3:31.

A simple round was played in which each team had to play four games. The group first and second qualified for the final. The third and fourth of the main round played for bronze. The fifth did not play a placement game.

Venues

It was played in several cities: In addition to Drammen (2 games), Mjøndalen (1 game), Solbergelva (2 games), Ullern (1 game), Stabekk (1 game) and Røa (1 game), the capital of Norway was Oslo ( 4 games) venue. The bronze and gold medal games took place here on the last day.
