Asbjørn Holm

Asbjørn Antoni Holm (born April 9, 1921 in Langenes ; † February 4, 2001 ) was a Norwegian politician ( Sosialistisk Folkeparti ).

Life

From 1937 Holm worked as a fisherman and seaman. Between 1947 and 1953 he worked on a lifeboat.

In the period from 1961 to 1969, Holm sat for two legislative periods as a representative of the Nordland constituency in the Norwegian parliament, the Storting . In 1963, he and Finn Gustavsen became the central figure in the Kings Bay Affair , as he withdrew support from Einar Gerhardsen's government and thus broke the governing coalition.

In 1988 he was awarded the King's Medal of Merit in Silver.
