The Aschaffenburg Stallions ( English Stallions - "stallions") are an American football team in the Lower Franconian city of Aschaffenburg . The association was founded in 1991. The Stallions have been playing in the Schönbusch stadium since 1996 .

history

In 1999 and 2000 the Stallions played in the German Football League , the top division in Germany. In 2000, the Aschaffenburg team played 12 games, of which they won three, lost seven and drew two. This meant that they finished fifth in the GFL Süd at the end of the season. That would have been enough to stay in the league, but the club's license was withdrawn and the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns rose. The Stallions have played in the Landesliga Nord since 2015 and belong to the American Football Association Bavaria (AFVBY). In addition to the men's team, the club also has a youth team, a flag football team for children aged 10 to 16 and several cheerleading groups .
