Hildegard Bulitta

Hildegard Bulitta (* 1947 ) is a German non-fiction author and teacher.

Life

Hildegard Bulitta studied pedagogy with a focus on German and then worked as a teacher. Their aim was to develop new learning methods , improve student performance and make lessons interesting. Together with her husband Erich Bulitta , she published dictionaries , textbooks , school books and travel guides that reached several editions. Both work as linguists. The dictionary of synonyms and antonyms and the large dictionary of synonyms are known . Several publications by the couple on peace education, remembrance and commemorative culture were published by the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge. In 2017, a two-volume basic work, Steps to a Culture of Remembrance and Commemoration, was published . In 2019, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier awarded the couple Hildegard and Erich Bulitta the Federal Cross of Merit on the ribbon of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for their decades of honorary work in peace work in the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge and for the common good.
