The AVG Ascherslebener traffic mbH is a German railway company that both railway companies as a railway infrastructure company operates.

history

The company was founded on August 1, 2001 by Mirko Mokry ( DVU / FDVP ), a member of the state parliament at the time, under the sole proprietorship of AVG Mirko Mokry e. K. founded. The trained train driver initially only offered his own workforce to other railway companies, but in 2004 hired four more train drivers and opened a small office in Aschersleben . On September 28, 2005, the Saxony-Anhalt Ministry of Transport granted approval as a railway company.

In 2007 the company was split:

  • The previous sole proprietorship changed its name to AVG Bildung Mirko Mokry eK and, after appropriate certification, took over the training and further education for its own and other railway companies; the nine-month train driver training was mainly carried out as an employment office measure. Mokry remained the owner, and Patrick Dohmeyer became the authorized representative.
  • The railway operating company was split off and transferred to the new AVG Ascherslebener Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH , whose managing director and sole shareholder Mokry became.

The training company was deleted from the commercial register in June 2009.

Vehicle fleet

In 2005 the first own locomotive of the series V 23 (No. 102 254-0) was put into service, which has been in construction site and shunting use since then. In March, a class 203 locomotive (No. 203 004-7) was put into service. Initially also used on construction sites, it was soon harnessed in particular to freight trains. The third class 232 locomotive (No. W 232.07), acquired in December 2006, soon proved to be extremely prone to failure and is no longer in service. One locomotive each from the 346 and 202 series was hired. After the decommissioning of the VT2E at AKN, the AVG and the association Nebenbahn Staßfurt - Egeln eV transferred the VT2.38 to Egeln after the railcar was acquired by the association. In April 2016, the train was used in the new home for the first time. In the meantime, the AVG itself also owns two further railcars of the VT2E series. These are operated together with the Staßfurt Egeln branch line association. In addition, two V160 series diesel locomotives were acquired in 2018, the 225 004 from DB Standstand (designation 215 004) and the 217 002 from BTE and the V90 locomotive 295 095 already taken over from RP in 2017.

Infrastructure

As a railway infrastructure company, the company has been operating the 32.6-kilometer single-track line between Staßfurt and Egeln since May 1, 2007 and serves the soda works in Staßfurt. By investing in the line and a bridge, the axle load could be increased again from 18 to 21 tons.
