Asemwald is a district of Stuttgart in the Plieningen district on the Filder plain in the south of the state capital.
Since January 1, 2001, the districts of Hohenheim , Chausseefeld , Plieningen and Steckfeld with Asemwald have formed the district of Plieningen.
Asemwald consists mainly of three large residential high-rise buildings in the Birkacher Feld and Wald; According to the building draft, building permit documents and the corresponding construction work, the residential complexes formed the new residential town Asemwald project at the end of the 1960s to reduce the housing shortage prevailing at the time. The residential town of Asemwald was completed in 1972. Such a residential building has two basement floors and the ground floor above 22 residential floors up to the penthouse, but also necessary parking space for each residential unit, as this had to be created for over 1100 residential units. Infrastructure measures for the construction of the residential town of Asemwald naturally included the traffic development including the necessary supply media, but also a shopping center and service industry, restaurants, playgrounds and sports fields and even a public swimming pool upstairs in one of the residential complexes.
Over the years there has been an aging demographic, a process that is currently changing slightly in the residential town of Asemwald, as some younger people are now following the older generation as those interested in living. However, the population figure as of 2014 with 1526 inhabitants compared to 1137 residential units in the three residential complexes does not show any noteworthy family population development.
Trivia
