Pauli Toivonen
Pauli Toivonen (born August 22, 1929 in Hämeenlinna , Finland , † February 14, 2005 in Espoo , Finland) was a Finnish rally driver .
Career
In 1966 he won the famous Monte Carlo Rally and in 1968 the European Rally Championship .
His two sons Henri and Harri also became rally drivers. The world-class pilot Henri Toivonen came along with his American co-driver Sergio Cresto , on 2 May 1986 during the Corsica Rally in an accident with a Lancia Delta S4, the controversial and soon after by the FIA from rallying exiled group B died .
