Ashley Walker (born February 24, 1987 in Stockton , California , United States ) is a professional basketball player. Since 2009 she has played for the Seattle Storm in the Women's National Basketball Association .

Career

College (2005 to 2009)

Walker studied at UC Berkeley from 2005 to 2009 , where she graduated in American Studies in 2009. During her time in college, Walker also played the California Golden Bears for the university women's basketball team . Walker mostly played on the position of the forward as well as the center . She is the first female Golden Bears player to score over 1,000 points, 800 rebounds , 200 assists and 100 blocks .

WNBA (since 2009)

Because of her outstanding performance for the Golden Bears , she was selected in the 2009 WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm in twelfth place.
