The Ashton Glacier is a 14 km long glacier on the Black Coast of the Palmerland in the southern part of the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows from Mount Thompson in an east-southeast direction to the northwest side of Lehrke Inlet .

Aerial photos of the glacier were taken in 1940 during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941). He was probably also spotted by the team that explored the coast near the glacier during this research trip. A team made up of members of the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948) and the British Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) mapped it in 1947. The FIDS named it after Lewis Ashton (1898–1956) who worked for the survey on the bases at Port Lockroy (1944–1945) and in Hope Bay (1945–1946).
