The Lehrke Inlet is an icy, 13 km long and 27 km wide bay on the Black coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located between Cape Boggs in the northeast and Cape Sharbonneau in the southwest.
Scientists from the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) discovered and photographed the bay during an overflight in December 1940. It is named after Lester Lehrke (1910–1988), boatswain aboard the research vessel USS Bear during the research voyage and sailmaker of the East Base on Stonington Island .
