The Yates Glacier is a glacier on the Black Coast of the Palmerland in the southern part of the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows 5 km south of the Matheson Glacier to the west side of the Lehrke Inlet .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1976 after John Yates (* 1946) of the British Antarctic Survey , who was active in the area.
